We had a great turnout for our September meeting, the first after summer break. Our guest speaker was Nancy Leanues, Executive Director of Gift Planning for the CCHC Foundation. Nancy shared the impressive history of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary since its founding in 1942.
A few highlights:
- We’ve raised over $9.6 million for Cape Cod Hospital.
- In 1968, Jackie Peno gathered a few friends around her kitchen table, and the Orleans Branch was formed. Jackie went on to become President of CCHA in 1971.
- CCHA started as the Cape Cod Hospital Aid Association.
